Today I still am not feeling much better so I made a quick simple card using the imagine and my Pink By Design stamp of the month and die. I also used a Bo Bunny snowflake stamp with Tim Holtz faded jeans ink.

12 days of Christmas -Day 1

I am soooo sorry my post is late!!! I have been under the weather and my kids as well so everytime I wanted to post I would end up having to care for a sick little one and before you know it was sick.

I happen to be thankful for many things...my family, my friends, my life, the health of my children and family, the love and support I get from my boyfriend. In a perfect world everyone would be totally happy and not really appreciate the time we have or the people we have in our lives. I happen to know life is short and painful and imperfect but it would not be life if it was any other way. I know that this is the season of thanks but to be honest I am thankful everyday because I am truely blessed.

There are times when I don't understand why or why not but I am learning to accept things that cannot be changed. I am the type of person that doesn't like to have things sitting there not making sense but in life I am learning that not everything makes sense. Not everyone understands things the same and people see things differently everyday and moment. I have come to accept it now and I admit because of this I am more thankful and happier than ever before.

I used to look to my crafts as a stress relief and while it does still help on those stressful days I look to my crafts now as a way to show my family and friends how much I love them and how much they all mean to me. There are many things that I would love to do and its true I am my worst enemy most of the time but because I am thankful I am learning not to be so hard on myself. I can't change the world. I can't change the way people think or feel but I can control myself and for that I am totally GRATEFUL!!!

Life is short, appreciate the people you have, the memories you hold dear and the love that you have, had and will have!!!!

Now onto my project -

 This is a picture of my son that I took in the car one day while at a stop light and for some reason I love it!!! He normally never lets me take good photos so I was so happy to have this photo. I have a hard time with making stuff for him because I feel like I can't do him justice but this turned out perfect...I used my Beep Beep cartridge for the tank and the football was a layer on Playtime and I wanted them both because he admires my brother and wants to be a Marine when he grows up and he is totally into Football with my boyfriend now and he doesn't miss a game or an opportunity to talk football.

Thankful for my Crafts Blog Hop

I wanted to have this hop so that myself and a couple of my friends can share what makes us thankful when it comes to crafts. We all have our reasons for crafting and we all love what we do and we love being inspired by other friends, blogs, videos, and places or things. I have thought and thought and THOUGHT about what I can make that will show what I love about my crafts but the problem is that everything I make has my heart and soul wrapped in it. You can look anywhere on my blog, my facebook or my youtube and see my heart in everything.

I am thankful to be able to make the things I make, to have the things that I have and to be able to share and express. I know that life is not perfect and there are many things that can happen so being able to capture moments of my family and scrapbook them so that my kids can always take a part of me with them is icing on the cake!!!

When I create something it is a one-of-a-kind and while there are times that a sketch or something inspires me I always make everything my own. It makes me happy to know that if anything should ever happen to me my kids will forever have their personalized pages with my writing and my creativity. I will be alive in my work and their hearts forever and when they have their kids they can show my grandchild just how much I love my family.

I know that everyone I know who does not craft completely understands why I am so passinate about what I make and what I have. I make use of what I have and I have a lot!!! I have a youtube channel showing off my craft room...

Marine Corps Birthday Blog Hop - Nov. 10-15

For today I used some photos of my brother last year when he was first deployed. He has been a Marine for I think 11 years now and I don't see my brother doing anything else. I wish I could go visit him all the time but I am not financially able to with 4 kids but hopefully soon.

For my project today I used ribbon, distress stains, Pink By Design stamps, gold embossing powder, my pink ATG, and my E2 with craft paper and Echo Park paper that I got from a ScrapThat! kit (the Canada kit club)...

I am working on a couple of different things but I keep getting distracted but I am trying to post more during this hop!!!

Christmas for the Kids Banner Hop - Day 2

Welcome to Day #2 (Sunday) of the Christmas is for Kids Banner Hop!

Scrapbookaholic and MCT

Hello!! I wanted you all to know I'm haven't had a chance to go through all the comments for the hop yet but hopefully I will be able to get on the computer ( it keeps turning off on me).

In the meantime I made this card using stamps from Scrapbookaholic set 2 "Queremos Pastel" and Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" along with my My Creative Time XL die...







And I also made a altered box with an accordian album (my first) here is a sneak but I'm going to video it and post it on YouTube.
