I happen to be thankful for many things...my family, my friends, my life, the health of my children and family, the love and support I get from my boyfriend. In a perfect world everyone would be totally happy and not really appreciate the time we have or the people we have in our lives. I happen to know life is short and painful and imperfect but it would not be life if it was any other way. I know that this is the season of thanks but to be honest I am thankful everyday because I am truely blessed.
There are times when I don't understand why or why not but I am learning to accept things that cannot be changed. I am the type of person that doesn't like to have things sitting there not making sense but in life I am learning that not everything makes sense. Not everyone understands things the same and people see things differently everyday and moment. I have come to accept it now and I admit because of this I am more thankful and happier than ever before.
I used to look to my crafts as a stress relief and while it does still help on those stressful days I look to my crafts now as a way to show my family and friends how much I love them and how much they all mean to me. There are many things that I would love to do and its true I am my worst enemy most of the time but because I am thankful I am learning not to be so hard on myself. I can't change the world. I can't change the way people think or feel but I can control myself and for that I am totally GRATEFUL!!!
Life is short, appreciate the people you have, the memories you hold dear and the love that you have, had and will have!!!!
