MIA

Hey everyone!!! I am so sorry that I have been totally MIA!!!! Life is passing my by too quickly. I have school 4 nights a week and I work two jobs. I was finally certified to teach at Michael's but I am only available on the weekends and its hard fitting my class in with the others so I am thinking of giving my notice and closing that chapter for a short time.

I have still been crafting just not as much as I would like. I do a little here and a little there but I still have a family that needs and wants me. I will be heading to PaperDollHouse in Sycamore, Illinois 60178 July and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am. I don't plan on sleeping at all but I am sure I will have to miss a few seconds of fun to get some sleep and make sure that I eat!!

On to my Layout :
I used the new digi collection from : Art Made with Heart and some paint, paper and my two youngest latest class pictures. I had fun and I hope you can see all the details. I really love that you can print everything and cut...I don't have a cameo but I bet it would have been great for this project....Oh well I enjoyed doing this layout. please leave a comment below for a chance to win my blog candy....btw I just became a consultant for Close to my heart so I might decide to give something from Close to my heart as blog candy if I have enough real comments.

I used my LSG spray to add sparkle but you can't really see it.

Easter Bunny Hop 3/31-04/01

Welcome to Erica's super fun Bunny Blog hop...

I have a friend of mine who is super talented and she loves making things for the holidays so for this first day I decided to have her help me out and make the first project. She does not have a blog so this is a fun start to the blogging world for her.

For my little box I used the pizza box cut from Tags, bags, boxes and more 2

for the bunny I used Cricut Cake, Holiday Cakes

and the sentiement is from My Creative Time "Happy Hunting"

The shabby chic style has been around for many many years, originating from Great Britain, where time worn items were showcased in most country homes. Today’s essence of shabby chic is to achieve that time worn layered vintage look from yesteryear by painting, distressing, dying or tea staining. Now we bring it to you right from our craft tables.


For my project I used some paper that I bought at Walmart with some random lace and trims that I had in my stash and all the stamped quotes are from Pink By Design. For the red and polka dot paper I used BoBunny paper (my fave). By the way...I made this out of toliet paper rolls that I painted white and brushed with pink.

Mixed Media Blog Hop

Welcome ladies to the Mixed Media Blog Hop hosted by Monica at Scraps to Treasure. She is the first stop and I am the second so you should be coming here straight from Monica.

This hop will not have a long list because it involves a little more work and it is going to broaden everyone's creative by introducing everyone to the world of mixed media along with altered which of course everyone is familiar with.
